A fire at a warehouse of a military institute in downtown Moscow has been put out while one of the firefighters has been hospitalized with smoke poisoning, a police source said.
The fire, which started on Friday evening at a one-storey warehouse building, spread over an area of around 400 square meters before it was contained.
"A 26-year-old firefighter has been hospitalized with excessive smoke inhalation," the source said.
According to previous reports, at least two acetylene tanks exploded on the premises during the fire, but the incident does not pose a threat to local residents as the warehouse did not store any hazardous substances.
Investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
