A Kiev court demanded former Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko's lawyer leave the courtroom on Monday, leaving her without any legal representation.

Tymoshenko is accused of singing a "disadvantageous" gas deal with Russia in 2009. She has repeatedly dismissed the charges as politically motivated.

Her lawyer, Sergei Vlasenko, repeatedly refuses to stand when the judge enters the courtroom and on Monday got into an argument with him.

"The court has decided to remove Vlasenko from the case," Judge Rodion Kireyev said.

Earlier this month, Tymoshenko was expelled from the courtroom after the judge she had insulted him.
