Russia and Germany signed a number of cooperation agreements on politics, economy, culture and science during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Germany.
The energy companies of both countries, German Siemens AG and Russian IDGC Holding as well as Russian-German Energy Agency agreed to implement joint energy efficiency programs.
The two countries are also set to create a private technology investment fund with the participation of Russia's Svyasinvestneftekhim and Germany's Wermuth Asset Management GmbH.
Russian Vnesheconombank and German state development bank, Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau, will also establish a 1-billion-euro fund to support hi-tech innovation and energy efficiency projects by small and medium-sized business.
The foreign ministers of both countries signed an agreement to create a German scientific and innovation center in Moscow.
The countries also signed a number of deals in education, culture and science.
