Suspected al Qaeda militants killed a British shipping expert and an undetermined number of Yemeni security officers on Wednesday morning in a bomb attack on their vehicles in the port of Aden, Xinhua reported.
According to local police, the men died when their convoy was hit by a car bomb as they passed it.
Media reports did not name the British worker, who was employed by the Aden-based Arab Company for Inspection and Marine Consulting.
Last month, al Qaeda tried to storm Aden, after other gunmen succeeded in similar operations in the south of the country. Government forces beat them back from Aden causing them serious casualties.
