At least 78 people were killed and three injured when a Moroccan Air Force Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft crashed near Guelmine in the south of the country on Tuesday, media reports said.
The crash is the deadliest air accident in Morocco in decades.
An interior ministry spokesman said bad weather was initially thought to be one cause of the disaster.
The C-130 is one of the world’s most widely produced military transport aircraft and has an excellent reputation for safety and reliability.
