Russia’s Yulia Yefimova won the silver medal in the 200 meters breaststroke at the World Swimming Championships in Shanghai, China on Friday.
Yefimova came second with a time of 2 mins 22.22 seconds, beaten to first place by America’s Rebecca Soni with a time of 2 mins 21.47.
U.S. swimmers have already taken gold in the 100 meters breaststroke.
Canada’s Martha McCabe took bronze with a time of 2 mins 24.81.
The only other medal won by Russia in the 2011 championship so far was a gold and silver by Anastasia Zuyeva.-0-
