A private pleasure boat collided with the Oka-5 cargo barge on the night of July 30-31 in the Moscow River near Kosygina Street and sank. 31.07.2011, Sputnik International
The victims’ colleagues who arrived at the scene told RIA Novosti that young people celebrated a birthday of one of their friends from abroad during that night aboard the pleasure boat.
The search for the missing persons is continuing. As many as 72 rescue workers of the Emergency Ministry and 15 divers are working at the scene of the accident.

According to the rescue operational headquarters, the boat’s cabin was torn down while the boat is caught between the hull of the barge and the river bottom.
