A woman dressed in a black gown and mask broke into a pensioner's apartment in West Siberia and stole 4,000 rubles (some $140) from him, police said on Friday.
The woman looked so frightening the 86-year-old man "took her for Death," Kemerovo Region police said.
The 35-year-old robber, who has prior convictions, has already been detained and faces up to 12 years in prison.
