The Dreamliner is on display in Russia for the first time.

The airliner will only be presented on static display at the show. It will not take part in air show flights.

To date, Boeing has received more than 800 orders for the Dreamliner from more than 50 airlines. The launch customer All Nippon Airways Co expects the first airliner in September 2011. The Russian company Aeroflot is also among Dreamliner customers.

Dreamliner’s first major public appearance was at the Farnborough Air Show in 2010. The first test flight of the airliner, which was scheduled for the end of the second quarter of 2008, was rescheduled as a result of some technical problems, and finally took place on December 16, 2009.

Over half of the parts in the Boeing-787 are made up of composite materials. Compared with the Boeing-777, the new 787 airliner is 12% more fuel-efficient. Aside from this, it will consume 20% less fuel than other modern airliners of the same class.
