Russia's dollar-denominated RTS stock exchange index fell 0.56 percent compared to the previous closing on Friday, while the country's ruble-denominated MICEX index went down 0.97 percent after the stock market's morning 4 percent fall on fears of economic slowdown.
As of 18:45 Moscow time, the RTS index amounted to 1,575.33, and the MICEX index to 1,438.74.
Leading European stocks also are recovering from Friday's more than 4 percent plunge, London's FTSE 100 having dropped 0.18 percent to 5,082.86, Frankfurt's Dax having lost 1.28 percent to 5,531.30, while France's Cac 40 having fallen 0.83 percent to 3,050.43 by 15.01 GMT.
