At least nine people were injured during a rocket shelling on the Israeli cities of Beersheba and Ofakim from Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip, police press secretary Alex Kagalsky said on Saturday.
"Of the nine injured in the shelling, two are children. One person is in critical condition and doctors are trying to save him," Kagalsky told RIA Novosti.
The Israeli Army's press service said seven rockets on Saturday evening were fired at Beersheba and another four at Ofakim, 20 kilometers (around 10 miles) west of Beersheba.
According to the Israeli military, more than 50 rockets and mortars have been fired at Israel over the last 24 hours.
