Russia's fourth largest steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) saw first quarter 2011 net profit jump 66 percent year-on-year to $979 million to US GAAP, the firm said in a statement on Thursday.
First half revenues rose 39 percent year-on-year to $5.341 billion "on the back of heavier sales and improved pricing environment," the firm said.
EBITDA rose 23 percent to $1.422 billion in the first half. EBITDA margin improved 3 percentage points to 28 percent.
