A Russian businesswoman was jailed on Wednesday for ordering the murders of her father and his expectant girlfriend, media reports said.
Yekaterina Borisova, 29, was jailed for 16 years by a court in the central Russian city of Saratov. The killers received 19 years each.
Borisova is reported to have grown angry after her father, Ivan, a successful businessman, refused to buy her a new car. Her anger intensified when she was introduced to Ivan’s new girlfriend, who was only a year older.
She feared that she would miss out on her inheritance, reports said.
The killers attacked Ivan and his partner – who was five months pregnant - near their Saratov apartment. The couple died at the scene of multiple knife wounds.
