Moscow authorities are discussing the possibility of giving Moscow Metro passengers an opportunity to have a quick snack without going to the surface, the head of Moscow City construction department Andrei Bochkaryov said.
Though subway systems all over the world rarely bother to give passengers a chance to eat underground, the Moscow Metro already has a chain of underground fast food stands, headlined “Metro Buffet.”
Now the authorities are discussing whether underground snack vending machines are another viable option.
But even if the idea gets approval, vending machines would not be installed on subway platforms for safety reasons.
