This elite school was opened in 1811 under a decree issued by Emperor Alexander I. On the eve of the anniversary, specialists from the National Pushkin Museum, housed in the former lyceum, gave RIA Novosti’s film crew a guided tour, offering them an insight into the lives of students who brought fame to this unique educational establishment.
