Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will assess the first new projects to support young professionals and social welfare on Friday in the first meeting of the supervisory board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the government press service reported.
The Friday meeting will focus on the criteria of project selection and support.
The organization was designed as a “springboard” for young and energetic people to move up the career ladder. The Russian premier proposed setting up the new agency with his involvement to promote new projects in May 2011.
Putin said then that the agency would focus on three areas: new business - organizing startups and overseeing how promising innovation companies adapt to the market; efforts to promote young professionals in the business and social spheres; and social welfare projects, such as education, healthcare and culture.
