Forbes has put out шеы list of the Russian businessmen with the largest investments into foreign capital assets. The rating mostly reflects the top ten of the wealthiest Russians. Leonard Blavatnik, who currently lives in the United States, tops the list, with Alisher Usmanov (pictured) as the first runner-up.

Severstal CEO Alexei Mordashov comes in third. Severstal owns a number of large enterprises in the United States and Canada. Mordashov is also a blocking share holder of TUI (25.06%), one of Europe’s largest travel companies.

Renova Group Chairman of the Board Viktor Vekselberg placed fourth. He is Leonard Blavatnik’s long-standing business partner and holds major shares in two Swiss companies, Oerlikon and Suzler, that deal with innovative development.

Interros President Vladimir Potanin rounds out the top five. The lion share of the businessman’s foreign investments belongs to Norilsk Nikel’s plants in Finland, Africa and Australia that make up around 10% of its production.

Eurocement Group Chairman Filaret Galchev was ranked sixth and EuroChem Non-executive Chairman Andrey Melnichenko (pictured) took the seventh spot.

Roman Abramovich landed at the eighth place. For the foreign business he is famous as owner of FC Chelsea. In April 2011, Forbes estimated the value of Chelsea as $658 million. The other part of Abramovich’s foreign investments belongs to the enterprises of the Evraz Group.

Basic Element CEO Oleg Deripaska placed ninth. He holds 17% in Strabag, an Austrian construction company, and owns foreign aluminum oxide plants.

In the tenth place is Alfa Group Chairman Mikhail Fridman. Alfa Group holds shares in Turkcell, the largest mobile network in Turkey. Alfa Group also owns 25% in TNK-BP that recently bought BP’s oil assets in Venezuela.
