Turkish rescue workers found a 27-year-old woman Gozde Bahar alive under tons of rubble from an apartment building on the third day after a powerful earthquake killed more than 430 people in the province of Van, local media reported on Wednesday.
The woman was taken to a field hospital where she went into cardiac failure. Doctors later managed to save her life.
Emergency workers also managed to rescue 18-year-old student of Van University on Wednesday morning, NTV reported.
A 7.2 earthquake rocked the Van province on Sunday afternoon. The earthquake injured more than 1,350 people and more than 2,260 buildings collapsed as a result of the disaster.
Early on Monday, the province suffered another 6.1-magnitude earthquake.
