British singer Amy Winehouse died after drinking too much alcohol, a British coroner said on Wednesday.
Winehouse, who had released two albums, Frank (2003) and Back to Black (2006), was found dead in her home in Camden, north London, on July 23 after a long battle with drugs and alcohol at the age of 27.
British media reported that she had more than five times the legal driving limit of alcohol in her blood at the time she died.
Five-time Grammy award winner Winehouse died at the same age as musicians Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Kurt Cobain.
