The first rehearsal of a parade commemorating the historic November 7, 1941 military parade on Red Square took place at Moscow’s Khodynka Field. Organizers say the event will be reenacted down to the tiniest detail.
The rehearsal involved soldiers from the Moscow Garrison, the guard-of-honor company of the Moscow Military Commandant’s Office, a cavalry unit of the Presidential Regiment, as well as almost 4,000 school students and those from patriotic organizations, cadet corps and military schools.
World War II military equipment will also be part of the parade. Tanks, self-propelled guns and other armored vehicles were delivered from private museums for the rehearsal at Khodynka Field.
