Russian boxer Denis Lebedev on Friday clinched the WBA's interim cruiserweight title with a unanimous points win over former three division world champion James “Lights Out” Toney in Moscow.
Lebedev, 32, dominated from the first bell through to the last to win by a landslide margin on the judges' scorecards at the Khodynka Ice Palace. He won by shutout scores of 120-108, 120-108, and 120-107.
During his long professional career, Toney, 42, had never been knocked out – and nor was he on the night.
