A 21-year old Venezuelan beauty, Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares was crowned Miss World-2011 at the 61th beauty pageant in London on Sunday, defeating 122 other girls.
The girls from Philippines and Puerto Rico became the first and the second runners-up respectively.
According to a brief biography on the Miss World website, Colmenares has a degree in human resources and currently works for a broadcasting company. Her future ambition is to promote and work with children.
She is keen on volleyball, mountaineering and trekking. Ivian was born in a large family – she has 12 siblings in total.
Russia’s Natalya Gantimurova only made it to the top 20 of the pageant.
