A seven-month-old baby died and over 50 small children were hospitalized as a result of an upper respiratory infection outbreak in an orphanage near Moscow, a police source said on Wednesday.
The orphanage, located on the territory of a female prison in the town of Dzerzhinsky, is home to about 110 children whose mothers are in jail. It has no pediatrician.
"All the children are under the age of three. They were diagnosed with acute upper respiratory tract infection," the source said.
He added that the exact number of hospitalized children is unknown.
