Russian state-run energy giants Gazprom and Rosneft and the country’s largest private oil company LUKoil top the list of Russians' employment preferences, according to a poll conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Center (VTsIOM).
Wages were the main criteria for the respondents’ preferences, followed by such criteria as the companies’ ability to honor obligations to their staff and their benefits packages.
The poll covered the Russian population as a whole and Russian workforce and students as the target audience.
“By most indicators, the most attractive employers were raw material sector companies (Gazprom, Rosneft and LUKoil). In terms of labor remuneration, the rating’s leader is Gazprom,” the pollster said in a statement.
