Russia's airlines will ground their Tu-154 planes within the next year or two, the chief of country's transport watchdog Rosaviatsia said on Sunday.
"All of these planes will be grounded within the next year or two. It depends on the airliners," Rosaviatsia head Alexander Neradko said, adding that many Dagestan and Tatarstan companies operate Tu-154.
Tu-154 dates from the Soviet era, and is used extensively on domestic air routes in Russia and the former Soviet Union.
