Russia's female boxers must take at least a gold and a bronze home from the London Olympics, the country's national team coach said Thursday.

The 2012 Games are the first to include women's boxing, with medals up for grabs in three divisions: flyweight, lightweight and middleweight.

"At the Olympic Games the team has been set the goal of winning one gold and one bronze medal," Viktor Lisitsyn told RIA Novosti. He admitted that "winning two medals in just three weight categories is a very difficult task, but nevertheless, we'll do our utmost to put in a good performance in London."

Fighters wishing to qualify for the Games must finish in the top eight at the 2012 world amateur boxing championships in Qinhuangdao, China, in May.
