One girl was killed and other 10 people were injured as a driver who used psychoactive substances crashed into a crowd enjoying public festivity on one of the squares of the Ukrainian city of Lugansk, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
“A medical examination has showed that the driver was on psychoactive drug,” traffic police added.
The man was driving a Nissan Tiida, he crashed his car into a large group of youth celebrating Old New Year.
A criminal case was opened against the driver. He may be put behind bars for up ti eight years.
In an extended press release Lugansk traffic police said that the man was stripped of his driving license on December 1, 2011.
