Russia's aviation watchdog annulled a certificate of the Russian low-cost Avianova company whose flights had been suspended since October 10, the watchdog said on Monday.
The certificate was annulled on January 12, three months after the suspension began.
On January 23, the Arbitration Court of Moscow will consider a request from the limited joint stock company Averon to recognize the bankruptcy of the Avianova company.
Avianova’s problems arose from a conflict between two major shareholders, Russian investment company A1 of the Alfa Group and the U.S. investment fund Indigo Partners.
