Spartak Moscow on Tuesday officially unveiled Diniyar Bilyaletdinov after signing the 26-year-old winger from Everton last week.
Bilyaletdinov, who will play No. 25 for Spartak and share wing duties with Ireland's Aiden McGeady, said he would do "everything possible" to challenge for the Russian Premier League title.
"The last part of the championship is very hard to predict. Every match promises to be a fascinating fight," the club's website quoted him as saying.
The Russia international made 59 Premier League appearances for Everton, scoring eight goals in his 2 1/2 years on Merseyside.
He joins Spartak with the club in fourth, eight points off Zenit St. Petersburg's lead with 14 games remaining. The winter break ends March 3.
