Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has signed a three-and-half-year contract with Lokomotiv Moscow, the club said Friday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has signed a three-and-half-year contract with Lokomotiv Moscow, the club said Friday.

The Russia international's 7.5 million pounds move was confirmed earlier this week after Tottenham signed a replacement striker, Everton’s Louis Saha.

The deal with Lokomotiv announced Friday takes him through the end of the 2014-15 season with the railwaymen.

Pavlyuchenko, made 113 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 42 goals, since arriving from Spartak Moscow in August 2008. The 30-year-old striker has 45 caps for Russia, and has scored 20 goals for his country.

Lokomotiv, which also said Friday they had succesfully fended off interest from other Russian clubs in midfielder Renat Yanbaev, are sixth in the Russian Premier League, which resumes March 3.
