Roman Abramovich has topped the list of the most respected Russian oligarchs, compiled by Forbes magazine. The rating selected 10 out of the 100 wealthiest (according to the magazine) Russians of last year. The top three were Abramovich, Mikhail Prokhorov and Vladimir Potanin.
The magazine's rating took into account "human" qualities, as shown not only in business but outside of business as well. Mikhail Prokhorov, whose fortune totals 18 billion dollars, is respected by 23.8% of respondents.
Vladimir Potanin gained 19.5% of the votes. In the opinion of the survey respondents he is one of the most well-balanced people on the list: in terms of being principled and far-sighted, open, and as an innovator.
In fourth place was Oleg Deripaska, general director of the Basic Element company (15.7% of the votes, $16.8 billion fortune), who received the lowest score for openness and the highest for being tough-minded.
In fifth place is Yelena Baturina, wife of former Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov, (12.9%, $1.2 billion fortune). Less than a third of respondents think the business she has built up is a lucrative one. This is the lowest score for any of the 10 in the list.
In sixth place is the founder of the Parasport Foundation, head of the Commission for the Development of the Paralympic Movement under the Russian Paralympic Committee, president of the investment holding company Finstar Oleg Boyko ($1.5 billion fortune), who is respected by 12.6% of respondents.

Entrepreneur Gleb Fetisov has the cleanest reputation of anyone on the list. However, the businessman recorded the lowest figures for initiative and business acumen. He is respected by 10.7 % of those questioned, and his fortune totals $1.6 billion.
Completing the list, in 10th place, is the chairman of the board of directors of the joint stock bank Bank Rossiya Yuri Kovalchuk (10.2%, $1.5 billion).
