Israel supports the use of all possible ways to stop Iran’s nuclear program, the country's ambassador to Russia Dorit Golender said on Thursday at a press conference.
“We are in favor of the first place to use all ways to stop Iran’s nuclear program,” the ambassador said.
Golender also said that Israel is trying to solve all conflicts through peaceful means.
She added that Israel supports all sanctions aimed at halting Iran’s work on its nuclear program. “But Israel has its own information how this work is being done,” Golender said.
The United States and European countries have tightened sanctions against Tehran in recent weeks, leading to spiraling inflation in Iran. A European Union ban on Iranian oil imports will come into force by July. Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, a vital Gulf oil shipping route, in response. It has also vowed a “painful” reply to any attack.
Western powers and Israel suspect Iran of seeking to build nuclear weapons. Iran denies this, saying its program is of a civilian nature.
