The Trinity sculpture group was installed to mark the millennium since Russia’s conversion to Christianity at the site of the altar of the Dormition Cathedral, which was destroyed in the 1930s. This is the only monument in Russia that depicts the Holy Trinity.
The Church of Elijah the Prophet is the pearl of the 17th century Yaroslavl school of architecture and painting, which has almost entirely preserved its original appearance.
Vlasyevskaya, or Znamenskaya Tower is one of the two fortification towers of the Earth Town, a suburb of Yaroslavl. The tower was built of bricks in 1658-1659 on the site of the mid 16th century wooden tower that was destroyed by extensive fire.
Gostiny Dvor was constructed on the site of the market square to provide comfortable trade for locals and guest merchants in conditions of intensified economic growth in the city.
The Alexander Nevsky Chapel was built in commemoration of the miraculous rescue of Alexander III and his family in a train crash on October 17, 1888.
