Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will on Monday attend a meeting of the Middle East Quartet of international mediators in New York, the Foreign Ministry reported.
The meeting of the Quartet, which includes Russia, the United States, the European Union and the United Nations, will also be attended by U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton.
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and the Quartet’s special envoy, former British premier Tony Blair, will get connected via a video link.
The last meeting of the Quartet took place in September 2011 in the UN headquarters.
