The Russian national football team will play Italy in Zurich on June 1 in their last warmup game before the Euro 2012 championships, the Russian Football Union said Thursday.
Russia will play Lithuania in Switzerland three days before the Italy game, the federation said, but did not specify where in the country the match would be held.
The Italy game will take place in the FC Zurich’s Letzigrund stadium, which hosted three games at Euro 2008.
Russia will also play a friendly against 2010 World Cup semifinalists Uruguay at Moscow’s Luzhniki stadium May 25.
Russia’s group for Euro 2012 pits the 2008 semifinalists against co-hosts Poland, the Czech Republic and Greece.
