A drunk man threatening to blow up his block of flats in northeast Moscow has been detained after jumping off his balcony, police said on Saturday.
"The man suddenly jumped off a forth floor balcony during negotiations," a police spokesman said. "He was not hurt."
The unnnamed man called the police earlier on Saturday, threatening to turn on the gas in his flat and ignite it. Residents of the apartment block in Yeniseiksaya Street were evacuated following the threat.
Police said the man, aged 23, was "highly intoxicated."
