The aviation authorites in Russia and Belarus have agreed to allow flights between the two countries to continue until May 10, 2012, the Russian Transport Ministry reported on Thursday.
“As a result of the meeting the flights between Russia and Belarus carried out by the designated airlines of both sides were confirmed till May 10, 2012. It was decided to finalize the air service agreements and agree the terms of the further operation of the designated airlines in compliance with the interests of passengers,” it said in a statement.
The flights between Moscow and Minsk were suspended on the morning of March 26 in a row over the number of flights. Later the flights were temporarily authorized until today's meeting, when the interim agreement was reached.
