Turkish national carrier Turkish Airlines has temporarily halted flights to Syria due to ongoing violence, the company said on its website.
“Regular flights to Damascus and Aleppo canceled for the period from April 1 to April 30 because of the ongoing violence and lack of security,” it said in a statement.
Turkish Airlines have daily flights to Syria, including five to the capital Damascus and two to Aleppo.
The announcement came a day after Turkey closed its embassy in Damascus.
