Two defensive lapses gifted Amkar Perm a 2-0 win over Terek Grozny in the Russian Premier League on Sunday.

Serbian left-back Nikola Mijailovic opened the scoring on 54 minutes, scuffing a close-range effort off a defender that squirmed through the legs of Terek goalkeeper Soslan Dzhanaev.

The win was sealed five minutes from time as Czech defender Martin Jiranek back-headed a high ball into his own net, unaware that Dzhanaev was right behind him.

Terek had an equalizer through Maceij Rybus awarded but then ruled out as Amkar players persuaded referee Evgeny Turbin to reverse his decision and grant a free kick to the hosts for offside.

The victory extends Amkar's unbeaten streak to seven games and lifts them to tenth in the table, or second in the relegation group, on 44 points, five short of FC Krasnodar, who drew 1-1 at Krylya on Saturday.

Amkar's last league defeat came on November 6, a 2-1 loss at Spartak Nalchik.

For Terek it was a second-straight loss after they were turned over 3-1 by FC Volga at home last week, ending a purple patch of three wins on the trot.

The Chechens are overtaken by Amkar, dropping to 12th on 41 points.

Later Sunday Rubin Kazan host Anzhi in a battle of sixth-versus-seventh with both looking to propel themselves into the hunt for a Champions League spot.

Third-placed Lokomotiv Moscow could jump into second with a win at Dynamo Moscow in the evening kick-off.
