Jakov Fak and Marie Dorin Habert claimed wins in the mass start at biathlon’s Race of Champions in Moscow on Saturday.
Croatian biathlete Fak beat Russia’s Anton Shipulin into second place in the men’s event, with Norwegian athlete Emil Helge Svendsen in third.
In the women’s event, France’s Dorin Habert took the win, closely followed by two Russians. Double Olympic champion Olga Zaitseva came in second, with Olga Vilukhina third.
The relay was won by the team of Finland’s Kaisa Maikarainen and Sweden’s Bjorn Ferry, just 0.5 seconds ahead of the second-placed team of Russian Olympic bronze medalist Shipulin and Slovakia’s Anastasia Kuzmina, with the bronze medal going to Dorin Habert and fellow French biathlete Martin Fourcade.
