World No. 2 Rafael Nadal crushed top-ranked Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-1, to collect his eighth-straight Monte Carlo title on Sunday.
It took the Spaniard a little over an hour to grab the 47th ATP title in his career.
Nadal, 26, put an end to a 10-month barren spell without a title and a seven-match losing streak to Djokovic in ATP finals.
Nadal gets €446,000 thousand for first place, while his Serbian opponent earns €225,000.
