A significant number of Russian doctors and teachers should be sent for training abroad conditional on their return, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting of the State Council on Tuesday.
“Russian universities will begin the training and retraining of personnel in key, most popular specialties in accordance with the new standards. This should involve the country’s leading experts, including those trained abroad, and foreign professional qualifications,” Medvedev said.
“In addition, a significant number of doctors and teachers should be sent to study in other countries, but, of course, on the condition they return to work in Russia,” he added.
