Elephants from Andrei Dementiev-Kornilov’s circus show will stroll along the streets of Sochi on May 6 as part of a carnival devoted to victory in WWII, the state circus company said.

The elephants will be accompanied on the red carpet by acrobats, jugglers, clowns, and camels.

The Margo Constellation show itself will premiere on May 15 starring a female baby elephant named Margo. The show will also include Indian dance and breath-taking acrobatic tricks.

The director of the show, Andrei Dementiev-Kornilov, won the title the best circus show of the year with his program Mystery of Giant Elephants in the Shari-Vari circus competition this year.

He is the fourth generation artist in his circus dynasty, which dates back for 100 years. He came to the stage at the age of 12 in a Moscow circus. When he was 18, his father died and the young man took over the reins in the elephant show.
