Unidentified assailants held about ten people captive in a village in Moscow Region on Thursday, but the scheme unraveled after one of the victims managed to flee the scene and report the incident to police.
“The incident occurred in the village of Meshcherskoye. A group of people illegally held captive several people, allegedly hailing from Dagestan and Ingushetia,” the source said.
One of the captives managed to escape after getting hold of an automatic weapon and injuring one of the assailants.
The incident is under investigation.
