An organizer of an anti-corruption meeting in the Russian Volga city of Cheboksary has been detained for pelting eggs at the building of the Regional Prosecutor General’s Office, local police said on Thursday.
About 20 people took part in the meeting organized by Edurad Mocalov, Editor-in-Chief of the local Vzyatka (Bribe) paper.
Mochalov “was throwing eggs at the building of the Regional Prosecutor General’s Office. He defied orders to stop his action and was later taken to a police station,” a police press release said, adding that one more participant of the meeting has also been detained.
