Two deflected Zoran Tosic free kicks brought CSKA a 2-1 win over Moscow rivals Spartak on Saturday, keeping the race tight for second place in the Russian Premier League.

Both of Tosic's strikes deflected off Spartak's Brazilian striker Ari and into the net, but the Premier League's website credited the Serbian with both goals.

Artem Dzyuba hit an equalizer just before half time, wrong-footing Vasily Berezutsky in the box and firing into the roof of the net.

The visitors, who forced a series of excellent saves out of CSKA and Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, were reduced to ten men on 81 minutes after Dmitry Kombarov earned a second yellow card.

It brings CSKA level on 69 points with second-placed Dynamo Moscow.

Spartak are just a point back in fourth, while Anzhi, Lokomotiv and Rubin Kazan are all within striking distance of second place with three games remaining.

The top two qualify for the Champions League, with the next three entered into the Europa League. In the top eight, only FC Kuban are out of the running for European qualification.
