As the press service reports, the exhibition opened to the public on May 1. Visitors could see sculptors at work.

Masters from Russia, Poland, Italy, Spain, and Ireland create monumental sculptures that depict Russian warriors fighting in major Russian battles. Such battle sculptures glorify the valor of the Russian army. These include scenes from the Battle on the Ice, the Battle of Kulikovo, the Battle of Borodino, the Battle of Poltava, and the Patriotic War of 1812.

The museum’s press service report that the largest sand sculpture, which tops out at seven meters, will depict Russian writers and poets. Visitors will also see sculptures of Russian scientists and famous travelers who discovered Russia’s new lands.

A sandpit will be built to hold a sandcastle contest for children.

The exhibition will run daily through September 30.
