Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will on Saturday hold a meeting on the implementation of instructions President Vladimir Putin gave after his inauguration.
Putin was sworn in as president for a third non-consecutive term on May 7 and signed a number of documents on the same day.
The Kremlin’s press service then distributed over 10 presidential decrees: on long-term state economic policy, on social, healthcare, education and science policy, on housing, utilities, state administration, on Russia’s foreign policy and defense plans, on ensuring interethnic accord and on demographic policy.
Medvedev assumed the duties of prime minister on May 8. He held the presidential post from May 7, 2008 to May 7, 2012, when Putin was prime minister. Putin’s previous two presidential terms were in 2000-2008.
