As part of the celebration program the Strizhi and Russian Knights performed group and solo flying stunts in Su-27 and Mig-29 fighter planes in front of the celebration participants, displaying updated aerial figures from their new summer show.

The Strizhi aerial display team is based at the Kubinka airfield 60 km outside Moscow.

Pilots in Kubinka were the first in the Soviet Union to master solo and group aerobatic stunts in jet fighters.
