Tigran Sargsyan has been reappointed as prime minister of Armenia, the presidential press service said on Saturday.
Tigran Sargsyan and all members of his cabinet tendered their resignations to President Serzh Sargsyan as the new Armenian parliament elected on May 6 held its opening session on Thursday.
Eight parties and one party alliance ran in parliamentary elections with the Republican Party of Armenia winning with 44.05 percent of the vote and taking the majority of seats in the country's 131-seat parliament.
A new government is expected to be formed later this month.
